We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Early Childhood Nominated Supervisor who is passionate and dedicated to fulfil this non-teaching role for 2020 at Memorial Park Community Kindergarten located in Maroochydore. The Service is affiliated with Lady Gowrie and a rare opportunity has emerged for a confident and enthusiastic Early Childhood professional to join our diverse and devoted team of educators.

Our volunteer management committee are considering applicants who have effective leadership experience and skills.

The role will require you to provide quality leadership for the centre and work alongside the director, committee, admin staff and educators.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience in a similar role and the following key skills:

  • Respectful and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in forming on-going professional relationships with families and stakeholders from the Service Community.
  • A commitment to best practice.
  • A current understanding of National Quality Framework, Early Childhood Education and Care Legislation and the Assessment and Rating Process.
  • A thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning and personal growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, make decisions, offer contributions and share skills and knowledge.
  • Recent experience with ratings and assessment process an advantage

The following Qualifications are essential:

  • Approved Early Childhood Teacher qualification (must meet ACECQA and QKFS requirements)
  • Queensland College of Teachers Registration
  • Current Suitability Card or Exemption Card for Registered Teachers
  • Current Senior First Aid including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Minimum 3 years in similar role
  • Ability to self manage and meet timelines

This is a part time position of 7hrs per week.   The successful candidate will also be required to attend staff and committee meetings.

The position is available to commence during Term 1, 2020.

Stafford Heights Kindergarten is looking for educators who are:

About the role

Successful candidates will join our team and actively support continuity of learning within our Outside Hours Program, before and after our Kindergarten Program.

·         Before Care hours: 7:00am – 9:00am

·         After Care hours (Mon – Wed): 2:30pm – 5:45pm

·         After Care hours (Thurs – Fri) 3:30pm – 5:45pm

 

Flexible shifts to be negotiated each term totalling between 8 – 15hrs per week available.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities: 

·         Working alongside staff and children to design and facilitate a play based OHC program.

·         Support the broader Kindy program by assisting with safety sweeps and setting up equipment in the outdoor learning environment.

·         Preparing and serving simple afternoon tea snack.

·         Liaising with families and staff to ensuring effective communication and continuity of care.
