Lawnton Kindergarten & Preschool
Educator – Inclusion Support Teaching Assistant (casual position)

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Inclusion Support Teaching Assistant to join the Lawnton Kindy team in 2021.  The successful candidate will need to be available to work for a minimum of 3 hours each day at the end of the week (Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays) during school terms.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be experienced working with children in an early childhood setting.
  • Have experience working with children with additional needs (particularly ASD).
  • Be familiar with the EYLF and NQF.
  • Be able to extend children’s learning, and document learning experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III Early Childhood Education & Care qualification or equivalent, recognized by ACECQA.
  • Current Blue Card or Exemption.
  • Current First Aid, including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis.

Before and After Kindy Care Lead Educator (Casual)

Mitchelton Pre-Schooling Centre is a 3 unit community kindergarten affiliated with The Gowrie (QLD) Inc. We provide an engaging, respectful learning environment, in which children play, and where individual differences and connections are supported.

We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our B & A Kindy Care staff team.  Our B &A Care operates Monday to Friday from 7.00am -9.00am and 2:30pm – 5.30pm during term time however this position requires availability on Mondays and Tuesdays at this time, with a potential for additional shifts on other days.  There is also a possibility for additional hours through relief work across our three unit centre during sessional program time.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • a minimum qualification of Diploma in Children’s Services, or studying for same or higher qualifications in the Early Childhood field.
  • current First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain
  • current Blue Card and Positive Notice letter
  • an understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.

The successful candidate will possess a willingness to work as part of an energetic team, with knowledge and experience of play based curricula.

Wagner Road Early Childhood Centre and Kindergarten is a 60 place community based childcare centre and has a designated Kindergarten program that runs two kindergarten groups on a 5-day per fortnight program. We are an inclusive community-based, not-for-profit kindergarten, affiliated with Lady Gowrie.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly-skilled and passionate team of early childhood professionals.

About The Position

Early Childhood Teacher

We are seeking applicants for a permanent part time early childhood teacher starting in term 2, 2021, with the end of the week kindergarten group (Kindy 2) – Alternate Wednesday, Thursday and Friday group.

Approved Early Childhood Teacher qualification (must meet ACECQA and QKFS requirements)

  • Current Queensland College of Teachers Registration
  • Current Suitability Card or Exemption Card for Registered Teachers
  • Current Senior First Aid including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Current training in Child Protection

Selection Criteria
This position will require you to provide a quality educational program for the children and families in supporting positive outcomes for each individual child.

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified (as indicated above), and meet the following selection criteria:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in forming on-going professional relationships with families and stakeholders from the Service Community.
  • Dedication to age appropriate pedagogy and valuing early childhood education with the philosophy of learning through play.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide and document a high quality, play-based early childhood program.
  • A commitment to best practice and advocacy for children in our community.
