Early Childhood Teacher – Part-time contract for 2027

Emily Foord Memorial Kindergarten (EFMK) is seeking a dedicated, suitably qualified, and highly motivated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on a contract for the 2027 year with the potential to extend.

Set amongst the beautiful parklands of Kedron Brook in Stafford, Emily Foord Kindergarten has been part of the local community for over 65 years and runs a Queensland Government approved Kindergarten program that has been rated Exceeding in all seven quality areas. Experienced teachers and educators collaborate with parents and children to deliver an outstanding program with an emphasis on our natural environment. It is into this team we would like to welcome the right candidate as follows:

 

The Role

Early Childhood Teacher – Part Time commencing 18 January 2027 until 10 December 2027.

24 hours per week working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Remuneration for this position is covered by the Emily Foord Memorial Kindergarten Enterprise Agreement 2020.

 

Duties and Responsibilities (a full position description is available)

  • In collaboration with the Educational Leader, delivering a high quality, inclusive early childhood educational program based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).
  • Building strong trusting relationships between children, families and staff
  • Working as part of a strong and cohesive professional team
  • Supporting meaningful parent participation in all aspects of service provision

Requirements

  • A nationally approved bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the role of ECT
  • Hold a current Blue Card or Exemption Card
  • Hold or willing to obtain first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
