The Position – Teacher / Co-Director / Nominated Supervisor
Eatons Hill Community Kindergarten
Commencement: 18 January 2027
Employment: Permanent Part Time – 52.5 hours per fortnight
- 45 hours teaching
- 7.5 hours Nominated Supervisor responsibilities
- 3-month probation period applies
You will teach our 3-day Kindy class Monday–Wednesday, working 7.5 hours per day.
Thursday will be a non-contact Nominated Supervisor day – 3.75 hours per day, which can be combined into one day per fortnight.
Salary/Package: Dependent upon experience and in line with the Eatons Hill Community Kindergarten Early Childhood Education Enterprise Agreement 2024.

Director / Teacher / Nominated Supervisor
Previous Director/Nominated Supervisor and Teacher experience in a Community Kindergarten will be highly regarded.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated, organised, has creative ideas and is passionate about community.
You must be committed to continuous improvement through a collaborative approach with colleagues, community, families and children.
You must be an approachable leader among the community of families, children and employees, with a hands-on approach to managing the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to best practice, continuous improvement and ongoing professional development.
- Day-to-Day Management: Overseeing the regular operation, safety and administration of the education and care service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law and National Regulations.
- Staff and Child Safety: Monitoring educator ratios, staff qualifications, child supervision, and health and safety policies, including food, sleep and medication management.
- Program Oversight: Supporting the delivery of developmental and inclusive educational programs.
To be successful for this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent, recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification.
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Knowledge of the NQF, NQS, regulations, law and the QKLG.
- Current Paid or Exemption Blue Card.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
- All relevant GECCKO child safety courses completed.
- An understanding of the provision of a safe, well-planned indoor and outdoor learning environment.
- An ability to implement a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met.
- Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and supporting early childhood services/programs to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Experience in building capable and engaged staff.
