Administration Officer and Bookkeeper – Corinda Community Kindergarten

Administration Office and Bookkeeper

 

A rare opportunity to join Corinda Community Kindergarten in an Administration and Bookkeeping role. Supporting the Kindergarten Service Director, Parent Management Committee and Educational Staff.

10 to 15 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements available, including negotiable start/finish times and days in office/home.

As the first point of contact for families, staff and community stakeholders, this position requires a professional and personable manner, to represent the Kindergarten in a positive and welcoming way that aligns with our values, philosophy and standing within the community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining enrolment records and waitlists including: new child enrolments, bookings, administering invoices and reconciling payments
  • Maintain and provide attendance records for children, staff training records in accordance with governing body requirements to ensure funding and regulatory policies are being upheld.
  • Supporting the Treasurer with financial administration such as accounts reconciliation, budget preparation, processing of fortnightly payroll, invoices, BAS lodgements and annual audit preparation.
  • Supporting the Service Director to maintain ongoing maintenance records, insurance policies and other relevant operational/workplace health and safety records.

 

About you:

  • Experience in Early Childhood/educational environment (highly desired).
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills. Experience in Xero/XAP would be highly beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and written skills.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with other staff.
  • A strong commitment to child safety is essential.

 

As we are an Early Childhood Facility and you would be working onsite you will need or have the ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (blue card) and the ability to complete the National Child Safety Training (Foundation Certificate). We would, of course, assist the selected candidate in obtaining these if required.
