Gan Gani Kindergarten

Gan Gani Kindergarten, located in Fig Tree Pocket, is a not-for-profit organisation, affiliated with The Gowrie (Qld) Inc, providing quality early childhood education to families of the Western and Centenary suburbs for over 35 years.

Rated as Exceeding the National Standard for Early Childhood Education and Care, Gan Gani Kindergarten provides an outstanding play based educational program for 3 to 5 year olds within a well-resourced environment. The spacious well-equipped indoor facilities and the purpose designed outdoor play area provide the children with the perfect setting for creativity, imagination and learning and through play, enabling them to maximise their personal growth and development.

The Centre is staffed daily by fully qualified staff. An Early Childhood Teacher / Nominated Supervisor and qualified Educators who provide a high standard of care and a wide range of educational opportunities for the children. Staff thoughtfully design engaging experiences daily based on each child’s individual interests and needs, supporting each of them to grow socially, emotionally and cognitively. Our curricula – The Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines – are based on the contemporary understanding that children learn best through play in a rich, engaging and supportive environment.

Gan Gani Kindergarten is a single unit centre, with a maximum of 22 children per group. We have two kindergarten groups: Shemesh (Monday & Tuesday) and Adamah (Thursday & Friday) these run from 8.10am – 3.46pm. Our Explorer (Wednesday) group is a cross-over group that also accepts pre-kindergarten children. This runs from 8.30am – 3.30pm.

We are proud to be one of the only community kindergartens in the western suburbs who can provide extended hours for your kindy child through our unique partnership with Brisbane Montessori School’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Program. This partnership allows children attending Gan Gani Kindy to access after kindy care and vacation care in Brisbane Montessori School’s specialised 3–6-year-old OSHC program. Brisbane Montessori School’s campus adjoins Gan Gani Kindy which means children are transferred directly between the services by staff, ensuring safe continuous care for your child. After Kindy Care is available until 6.00pm during term time. Children attending after kindy care will be transferred from Gan Gani Kindy at 3.46pm and escorted to BMS by 4pm. Vacation care is available during school holidays from 7:30am – 6:00pm, 5 days per week excluding public holidays.
