Hillsdon Community Kindergarten is a small, community-based not-for-profit service, affiliated with Lady Gowrie QLD. Located in a heritage home set on a bush block in Taringa, Hillsdon is an Exceeding service that provides kindergarten, pre-kindy and outside school hours care during term time, as well as vacation care. We are seeking a talented and passionate early childhood professional to lead our Pre-kindy (3-year-old) program in 2024.
About the role:
You will lead a group of 22 children in our pre-kindy program two days per week (Monday – Tuesday) during term time, and support vacation care during school holidays (excluding December/January). Working alongside a qualified Assistant Educator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the pre-kindy program, aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework. You will be supported by a professional, collegial and collaborative team of teachers, educators and director, to develop and deliver a program that supports age-appropriate learning and gives children a strong foundation for kindergarten. You will build strong relationships with children and their families to create a secure, warm and inclusive learning environment.

The successful applicants will have:
- Minimum of a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and quality early childhood education practices aligned to the National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Hold a current Blue Card and hold current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis
- Experience in developing high quality, engaging educational programs to support the learning and development of children
- Proven experience building and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with children, families and colleagues
