Educator (part time) – Kedron Heights Community Kindergarten
About Us:
At Kedron Heights Community Kindergarten, we have proudly delivered high quality, community focused early childhood education for 60 years.
Our one-unit centre is an Approved Kindergarten Program Provider, affiliated with Lady Gowrie QLD and provides education for two groups of kindergarten-aged children.:
· Group A – 5-day fortnight group operates Mon, Tues and alternate Wed with contact hours 8.40am to 2.50pm during school terms and
· Group B – 4-day fortnight Thursday and Friday with contact hours 8.30am to 4.30pm during school terms
About the role:
A fantastic opportunity exists for a part-time Educator (Assistant) to join our 4-day fortnight group, Group B. You will work with the Group B Teacher and additional Educator. Hours will be between 28hrs – 32hrs per fortnight and will be based on the needs of the Kindy group. There may be an opportunity for these hours to extend to 38hrs per fortnight.

Successful applicants will possess:
A completed Diploma or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood educator qualification) is preferred
Experience as an Educator within a collaborative community kindergarten environment
Understanding of both EYLF and QKLG frameworks and the National Quality Standard
A current Blue Card
Hold or will hold a current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis prior to commencement
A desire to share creativity and enthusiasm in planning, implementing and reflecting on engaging educational programs that support learning and development of all children
Proven experience in maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with children, families and colleagues
Commitment to ensure compliance with policies and legislation
