Twin Towns Kindergarten

Twin Towns Kindergarten is a place for children to play and learn , feel safe and be valued for who they are. We are a proud community kindergarten who in 2021 will be celebrating 60 years in our local community . We are strong advocates for children and their families and have a long standing reputation in our community for providing excellence in quality early childhood education. We are rated Exceeding in all areas under the National Quality Standards.

Our program intricately links all aspects of learning in to our rich play based curriculum , emphasising each child’s sense of identity , wellbeing, autonomy and supports children to be active and involved learners . We recognise a child’s learning capability is dynamic and holistic and we value curiosity and creativity as dispositions for learning. In our beautiful indoor and outdoor environments children can thrive surrounded by the joy and wonder.

All staff support children to be active and involved learners engaging in healthy risk taking and wellbeing practices such as yoga , mindfulness and Dadirri. The children participate in our Nature Kindy Program each week and Twin Towns kindy is an official Nature Play Qld Educational Provider,  with four of our staff having completed their Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Leader training.  We also enjoy making connections with our local community through our neighbourhood walks and programs such as Save the Bilby , Ask Gran not Google , Lids for Kids, our little Street Library and Green Heroes .

At T.T.K children are encouraged to respect , care and have empathy as they appreciate all aspects of the natural environment. We incorporate sustainable practices in our daily living at kindy such as our market garden, bug hotel , native hive, composting , recycling and permaculture . As our logo states “ Learning and playing naturally ” and this certainly describes our leafy , natural garden and surrounds.
