Lady Gowrie Currimundi Community Kindergarten

Our community Kindergarten has been caring for children and families in the Currimundi community for over 40 years. Set on a quiet street not far from the beach, as you walk into the Kindergarten you enter a large, indoor play space that feels homely and inviting. The indoor play space opens onto a large covered verandah which leads to our beautiful natural outdoor space boasting established trees providing shade and opportunities for climbing, a mud kitchen, fairy garden, swing area, covered all weather sandpit and a multitude of spaces to play on the wooden interconnecting fort. Our vegetable and herb gardens, mulberry trees and rosella tree provide opportunities for growing our own food, harvesting and cooking. Staff at Currimundi Kindy celebrate the freedom and joyful learning that occurs through a play-based program where children are nurtured and valued as individual learners. Families are an important part of our Currimundi Community, contributing to the program, collaborating with teaching staff and often developing lifelong connections with other local families.
