Early Years Places are a way for families to access a range of early childhood activities and support from the one welcoming location. Lady Gowrie has Early Years Places in Caboolture, Morayfield, Burpengary and Woodford.
Each Early Years Place has a different mix of programs including playgroup, early childhood education and care, health services, and family and parenting support.
Child Health nurses are available at all of our EYP sites for drop in and appointments to provide support and advice with child and maternal health. First time parents in this EYP region can also have a child health nurse visit them at home soon after the birth. For more information call Caboolture Child Health on (07) 5433 8001.
Qualified family support staff are available at our Caboolture, Woodford, Burpengary and Morayfield sites to provide 1 to 1 assistance. Parents and carers of young children can drop in to any of these sites or ring to seek support and assistance with issues affecting their children, and difficulties they are experiencing in their family or parenting role.
Family support can assist anyone caring for young children such as teen parents, fathers and those who are grandparenting full time. Practical information and support from staff, along with sharing ideas and experiences with other parents can help with feeling more confident and knowing you are not the only parent in your situation.
Parenting Programs

Play Time is a playgroup facilitated by qualified EYP staff and Child Health staff to promote children’s learning and development in an exciting, fun environment. This program also helps parents (including foster carers) to learn simple, cheap activities they can do at home and strengthen relationships with their children.

The early childhood specialist assists children with low level disabilities attending kindergarten in this EYP region. Kindergarten staff + families can ring the EYP direct to speak with the early childhood specialist about the support that maybe provided to best respond to their situation. A qualified teacher and assistant provide this program and promote learning and development through play and a semi-structured format. This program is provided on a weekly basis at our Woodford, Morayfield, Burpengary and Caboolture sites.

We are a not for-profit organisation providing high quality childcare and Kindergarten programs, with a strong heritage in early childhood education in Queensland and Australia.
The Brisbane Lady Gowrie Childcare Centre was established in 1940 as a demonstration centre for excellence in early childhood education and care. We continue to be Qld’s leading provider of Community Kindergarten and Long Day Care services and uphold the highest standards in childcare.
Lady Gowrie QLD acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which our Kindergarten and childcare services are placed, and pay our respects to the elders, past and present, who have raised children, taught them about the world around them and bestowed on them the gift of culture and language.
