THE ROLE:
Eatons Hill Community Kindergarten is seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood professional to join our team in the dual role of Teacher / Nominated Supervisor. This contract position will commence on 19 January 2026 and conclude on 12 December 2026.
In this role, you will provide leadership as the Nominated Supervisor, ensuring the smooth and compliant day-to-day operation of our community kindergarten. You will also be the qualified Early Childhood Teacher for our Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday program, delivering a rich, play-based learning environment for children.

We operate one kindergarten unit offering:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday group – 9:00am to 2:30pm
- Thursday and Friday group – 8:30am to 4:00pm
Our environments are vibrant, nurturing, and designed to support each child’s autonomy, curiosity, and natural love of learning.
YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood (or ACECQA-approved equivalent), or
Bachelor of Primary Teaching with an approved diploma-level (or higher) ECEC qualification - Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (renewed annually)
- Paid Blue Card or Exemption Card
- Current Senior First Aid, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong leadership capabilities, including staff mentoring and effective teamwork
- Ability to build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with families, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Comprehensive understanding of the National Quality Framework, relevant legislation, and the Assessment & Rating process
- Experience delivering a high-quality, play-based kindergarten program aligned with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and Early Years Learning Framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and service improvement
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and confidently make informed decisions

Wages and conditions will be offered in line with Eatons Hill Community Kindergarten’s Enterprise Agreement Conditions.
