Director/Teacher – Early Childhood
Jimboomba Community Kindergarten, Jimboomba QLD
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly motivated Early Childhood Teacher to join Jimboomba Community Kindergarten, located in the heart of Jimboomba.
This role will commence as part-time in 2026, supporting our end-of-week group, with the potential to transition into a full-time Director/Teacher role in 2027.
We are seeking a passionate educator who is committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and building strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively to individuals of various ages
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism in all circumstances
- Strong leadership capability with both small groups and larger teams
- The ability to work independently, show initiative, and make sound decisions
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and implement high-quality, child-centred educational programs
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Maintaining open communication and positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Supporting and promoting a high-quality early childhood service aligned with the centre’s goals and philosophy
- Fulfilling teaching duties within the centre
- Managing responsibilities relating to the administration, policies, and procedures of the service
- Demonstrating knowledge and application of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), and Education and Care Services Law and Regulations
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent qualification
- Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
