Part-Time Educator
Burleigh Heads Community Kindergarten is an exceeding service provider of early childhood education in the local area. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning and nurture the growth and development of each child in our care. With a strong focus on play-based learning and a commitment to sustainability, we strive to create a vibrant and enriching environment for our kindergarten children.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Educator to join our vibrant team in our end of week group to help continue on the above trajectory. This part-time position is located in Burleigh Heads, QLD 4220, and will involve providing high-quality early childhood education and care to our young learners.
We are looking for an Educator to join our Turtle group from 20 April 2026. This is a part-time, 9-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
Days: Thursdays, Fridays and alternate Wednesdays
Hours: 8am to 4pm (40 hours per fortnight)
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the planning and implementation of engaging educational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children
- Observe and document children’s learning and development, providing individualised support and feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Maintain strong partnerships with families, fostering open communication and involving them in the educational process
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your practice
What we’re looking for:
- An applicant who holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent). Candidates with a Certificate III will also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience working as an Educator in a kindergarten setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A deep understanding of child development and the ability to create learning experiences that cater to individual needs
- A commitment to upholding high standards of safety, care and education
- An applicant with a current Blue Card, First Aid Training, and National Child Safety Training
- A great collaborator with a passion to deliver a positive experience for all stakeholders
