Nominated Supervisor/ECT
Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced teacher to join the Ballymore Kindy team, commencing in Term 1, 2025 (Monday 20th January, 2025).
We are seeking either:
- A non-contact Director/Nominated Supervisor to work one day per week and to cover regular relief teaching days, or:
- A part time teacher & Director/Nominated Supervisor. This would involve teaching the 2-day group (Monday and Tuesday) and one day per week dedicated to the Nominated Supervisor role.
In addition to this, our longstanding Admin/Finance Officer is retiring soon. If you have a keen interest in the administration side of early childhood, then we are open to discussing the possibility of combining these roles in alignment with your experience and expertise.
About our Kindy
Ballymore Kindy is a single unit community kindergarten affiliated with Gowrie Queensland. The center offers a unique natural, bush setting for children in inner-city Brisbane. Children attend either a 2 or 3 day group each week (Monday & Tuesday 8.30am to 4.00pm and Wed-Fri 8.30am to 2.30pm) as per the Queensland schools calendar.
Our kindergarten has a long tradition of providing exceptional early childhood education with a focus on play-based learning, building positive relationships, and ensuring thoughtful, explicit communication with children and parents. Parents and visitors to the center highly regard the calm and caring atmosphere, the authentic engagement of staff in children’s play and explorations, and the collaborative nature of the interactions between all staff members, and with the wider community.
About the role:
In this role you will be working alongside the caring and dedicated team, who are passionate about developing and implementing a high-quality educational program for the children.
The successful applicant, in their role as Nominated Supervisor, will take a collaborative approach and work closely with the staff, the centre’s management committee, and the office administrator, who works at the centre 1 day per week. The current Director/Nominated Supervisor will remain at the service in a teaching role, supporting a smooth and thorough handover.
