Kindy Uplift Advisor – Lady Gowrie Qld

 

Lady Gowrie Queensland has an opportunity for an Early Childhood Professional to implement the delivery of a new pilot for Kindergarten Programs in Queensland.

The Kindy uplift program is being implemented by the Department of Education to early childhood services across QLD through to the end of 2026. The program will contribute to a great start for all children and improve learning and developmental outcomes by providing funding to enhance educator capability to respond to the diverse educational needs of kindergarten children.

 

THE ROLE:

Our team of Kindy Uplift Advisors support kindergarten programs to implement an annual plan, that uplifts the kindergarten program, builds educator capacity and support better outcomes for children. Kindy uplift funding is used to respond to children’s learning and development needs through evidence-based initiatives that lift outcomes for kindergarten children.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Equity and Excellence initiatives: Embedding First Nations’ perspectives, ensuring services are inclusion ready, culturally capable and responsive.
  • Workforce initiatives: Mentoring to support qualification progression and leadership capabilities for education leaders.
  • Practice improvement initiatives: Providing support during Kindy uplift planning and monitoring; educator and service capability building through professional learning; facilitating engagement and communication strategies including Communities of Practice; embedding evidence-based programs; utilising inclusion subsidies and Specialist Sector Support services; implementing and monitoring for impact utilising the kindergarten learning progression.

The role is required to work with other Sector representatives, Approved Providers and the Department of Education and act as a representative of Lady Gowrie Queensland.

This is a full time role on a fixed term contract until the end of 2026. the successful applicant will have exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisation skills and the ability to work with a range of people across a dispersed network of early childhood services.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:
  • Degree qualification in Early Childhood and a minimum of five years’ experience within the Sector;
  • High level of knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and National Quality Framework;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the diverse needs of children and families across Queensland communities.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead professional conversations in both online and face to face contexts.
  • Demonstrated culturally capability working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Ability to guide others towards continuous quality improvement through reflective practice and professional inquiry and experience leading innovative initiatives that improve service quality and outcomes for children.
  • Data-literacy skills and ability to apply contemporary research and emerging practice to a range of practical contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, flexible in approach to work patterns and working within a team environment.
  • Passion for Early Childhood and the delivery of quality Kindergarten programs.
  • Hold a current Blue Card and Current Senior First Aid Certificate
