Position: Permanent Part-Time (Mon, Tues & Alternate Wednesdays; school terms)
Pay Rate: From $36.56 per hour)/ Salary starting from $43,872
Start Date: Term 1, 2026
Are you an enthusiastic, compassionate educator with a passion for early learning? Theodore Early Childhood Centre (TECCA) is seeking a qualified Early Years Teacher to lead our Kindergarten Service.

About Us
TECCA is a community-run, Not-for-Profit centre, proudly affiliated with Lady Gowrie as a Kindergarten Program provider. We’re supported by a hands-on Management Committee, a dedicated Nominated Supervisor, experienced assistants, and a strong relationship with the local school, ensuring smooth transitions and valuable connections for our children and families.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
- Is QCT registered
- Has current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates (or is willing to obtain them)
- Holds a current Blue Card (or exemption card)
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and families
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG), and the ability to design and implement engaging educational programs
- Is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Is confident in leading our Kindergarten Program and working collaboratively with a passionate, experienced team
- Is community-minded, proactive, and excited to contribute to our Centre’s warm, family-centred culture
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress, using this information to tailor learning experiences
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and their families, promoting open communication and collaboration
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that meets all regulatory and quality standards
- Collaborate with the wider education team to support the overall development and wellbeing of all children in our care
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge
- Foster inclusive, respectful, and engaging practices in all aspects of your work
