Early Childhood Teacher – Mitchelton Pre-Schooling Centre
A rare opportunity has risen for an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Mitchelton Pre-Schooling Centre (MPC). Commencing in Term 1, 2026, the position is for our Unit 1-3 day group working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The role is for a first-term contract position with the vision of extending the contract for the remainder of the 2026 year (with the potential for permanency). Employment and pay conditions will be as per the MPC Early Childhood Education Enterprise Agreement 2024.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA)
- Current Queensland Teachers Registration is essential
- Valid Blue Card or Exemption card for registered Teachers
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and asthma training certificates
- Current Child Protection training
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher (in a community kindergarten preferred)
- Passion for child-centred, play-based learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Must be available 19-24 January 2026 for set up week.
Days/Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with children attending from 9am to 2pm (37.5 hours per fortnight).
