Early Childhood Teacher
Yeppoon and District Kindergarten

Yeppoon and District Kindergarten is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Teacher.  This is a permanent part time (5-day fortnight) position and will commence at the start of Term 1, 2018.  Specific hours of work and remuneration package will be in accordance with the Yeppoon & District Kindergarten Early Childhood Education Enterprise Agreement.

Successful applicants will have:

  • 4 Year University Qualified Early Childhood Degree
  • Teacher Registration preferred
  • Working with Children Blue Card or exemption card
  • Current First Aid, CPR and asthma and anaphylaxis certificates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Previous experience in a teaching role in an early childhood environment, preferably within a kindergarten

Kindergarten Support Assistant
Ballymore Kindergarten, Herston.

We are seeking a Special Needs assistant teacher to join our team commencing in Term 1, 2018. The 12 month contract position is 3 days per week: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am to 2.30pm.

The key role of this position is to provide “one on one” support to a child with Dravet Syndrome (epilepsy). In-service training and working with the child, who currently attends our kindy, will be required over a couple of days during Term 4, 2017.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services
  • Current First Aid Certificates, Blue Card and Positive Notice Letter.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Develop meaningful and effective relationships with parents/caregivers, colleagues, committee members and the wider community.
  • Take responsibility for all matters relating to the administration, policies and procedures of the Centre.

  • Attend monthly committee meetings, provide a written report and liaise with and support the Committee of Management of the Kindergarten.

  • Recent teaching experience in an Early Childhood setting with demonstrated ability to plan and implement a high quality child-centred program (can include placement experience).
  • Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR (including management of anaphylaxis, management of asthma and automated external defibrillation).

As an Early Childhood Teacher (Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader) at Hillsdon you will:

  • As the Nominated Supervisor, you will report to and work closely with the Management Committee and maintain a collaborative and productive working relationship with the staff and administration team and hold a senior and respected position within the Service, with overarching responsibility for the leadership and management of such.
  • As the Educational Leader, you will lead the development and implementation of the educational and care program in the Service and motivating and guiding staff in continuous improvement of pedagogical practice.
  • Provide a welcoming environment and form trusting relationships with children, families and staff.

Kindergarten Educator to start January 2018 and Casual Relief Staff
Kenmore Park Preschool and Kindergarten

Kenmore Park has been a vibrant part of the Western Suburbs community for 49 years. A Gowrie QLD-affiliated service, Kenmore Park is a not-for-profit Community Kindergarten, with a volunteer Management Committee. Our Centre provides a high quality educational program for two kindergarten groups and a pre-kindy group.

We are seeking an Educator for our team, to work alongside an Early Childhood Teacher, in a Kindergarten class. This is a temporary part-time position, paid in accordance with the Kenmore Park Preschool and Kindergarten Early Childhood Agreement 2012.  The expected days of work are Thursdays and Fridays each week. The program hours of this group are from 8.30am-4.00pm, with the hours of work being 7.45am-4.45pm. This role will be offered on a fixed term basis for the duration of Term 1, 2018, with the view of conversion to a permanent position at the end of the Term.

In addition, we are also seeking qualified and experienced Kindergarten Teachers and Educators for casual relief work.

Relief Staff
